RVT (River Valley Trading) shave soap is a locally made, high quality all natural shave soap. We have been working with a local artisan soap maker in Durban to formulate a soap with the lathering properties that are required for traditional wet shaving. After many months of trials and testing (and the perseverance of the soap maker), the formulation is now just right. The soap gives a slick, rich creamy lather that is stable and long lasting. The lather provides great cushion and protection. The scent profile of the soap is a combination of Rose and Geranium. This a sweet scent that is a tribute the much loved Williams shave stick (now discontinued).
Our shave soap comes in a plastic tub with a screw top lid. 165 grams of soap per tub also gives great value.

How to use
Load the soap onto your brush by swirling a damp (not soaking) brush into the soap for about 30 seconds. Add a touch more water if you find the soap too dry. Once the brush bristles have a coating of soap paste, proceed to create a lather either in a bowl or directly on the face. Keep adding a bit more water to get a nice sheen on the lather.
